City of Airdrie Launched

The City of Airdrie has just launched their new city web site powered by Savvy Content Manager Unlimited.  Airdrie's Website Administrator Drew Foster had this to say about Savvy CM and staff.

"Savvy Content Manager has allowed the City of Airdrie to give our departments a sense of ownership for their content on the web site, shifting the responsibility for keeping things current away from the Information Technology department. Since the departments themselves know their content the best, allowing them to keep things current has enabled the IT staff to concentrate on extending site functionality rather than being content police. The extremely easy to use Savvy CM interface makes content updates a snap. Training new staff to make content changes is also very quick and efficient. From an administrative point of view, having final say on publishing content allows me an opportunity to make sure changes adhere to corporate standards and does not break the page layout in a web browser. Savvy CM is an excellent web content manager and the support by the Savvy staff is second to none. I am very happy with our relationship with Savvy!" - Drew Foster Website Administrator, City of Airdrie

Why Partner With Savvy?

UK based Vivid Lime recently signed a partnership agreement with Savvy Software.  Vivid Lime Technical Director Kola Oyedeji had this to say about their reasons for selecting Savvy over their existing cms of choice for their clients:

"We had already adopted a fairly well known, large ColdFusion based CMS but had decided to move away from it. Partly because we had a large amount of varied customers whose contents needs varied and partly because the end users constantly needed support from IT to use the CMS (despite training).

"Choosing a CMS is something which requires buy in from various stakeholders such as the creative department, the SEO team, copywriters as well as the development team. We found Savvy to be one of the few Content Management Systems everyone could get up and running with and adding content in no time. Designers were creating their own templates in record time and copywriters loved the usability of the CMS (which was one of our main areas of dissatisfaction with our current solution). The guys behind Savvy also were also recognised contributors to the ColdFusion community and this was comforting. Finally, Savvy is very, very affordable and this was the icing on the cake.

West Newbury Riding and Driving Club Testimonial

The West Newbury Riding and Driving Club sent us a very nice testimonial today.  They are an all-volunteer equine-oriented organisation that runs several competitions each year.  Read about their experience with Savvy.

From the review:

"I have had no experience or training with working with websites, so I had been completely dependent on another.  After a 40 minute educational training session over the phone, I was ready to go and the changes have been amazing.  It is so easy to update any part of the website, with font templates to keep it all consistent but plenty of freedom for my own creativity.  I was creating new links, changing text and uploading photos to the website on the first day.  One of the things I noticed immediately is that the program is very "safe" (think Quicken) and clear to use, and I know that I am not about to create a problem I can't fix." SEO CMS Review

One of our partners, Renee's Computer Help, has written an informative article about why she chose Savvy for her customers CMS needs.  Renee is a SEO (Search Engine Optimization) expert and reviewed many CMS's for their SEO abilities.

"I found that this company had done their SEO homework prior to building this software.  They did a remarkable job handling the often overlooked, yet extremely important SEO compliance issues.  They addressed many issues that most CMS's do not."  - read more

Thanks Renee!

Municipal CMS Success Story

We just got off the phone with one of our newer clients, the Town of Exeter, NH. Exeter, along with a number of other towns in NH, was faced with massive flooding and road closures recently.   Throughout the weekend and early the following week Russell Dean, the Town Manager, was able to post critical information to the web site.   Residents were easily able to get maps of closed roads, safety information, and important emergency numbers.  Their site was being updated hourly to keep up with the changing information.  During this time many routes into and out of Exeter were shut down or washed away.  The river flowing through downtown caused extensive damage to local businesses and homes.

Andy Swanson, the IT manager for the Town, said that without Savvy, the timely and accurate communication with other town departments and residents wouldn't have happened.

It is great to know that during their time of need our software was able to help in some way.

3.0 Testimonial

One of our partners, Cronkright Interactive, just sent us a very nice little email.

"Wow... I love you guys. Upgrading Savvy to use the new editor rocks! I just edited an image right in the CMS... That is so powerful!"

Thanks Greg!
