ColdFusion - Free For Education

Since a lot of our customers live/work in education we thought this would be exciting news.  Adobe has announced that ColdFusion is now free for educators and students.  The licensing is such that it isn't free for production use, but rather for learning.

Hopefully this will lead to many students getting their hands dirty and educators empowered to teach CF even more.

"Adobe ColdFusion 8 for Education is available for free to educational customers to use for learning purposes only and not for production purposes. This includes all qualified students, faculty and staff of eligible education institutions"

School must be about to start...

Summer is a busy time for our school clients.  This summer we've added another 1/2 dozen school districts to our client list and upgraded several others.  What makes a good school site?  Well, it's not the Superintendent's welcome message, even though every site seems to have one.  To me, it's well organized information that I can find.  Yes, we think Savvy helps, but it's really about the team behind the site.  Is it a coincidence that some of the best organized school sites have a librarian involved?
